Little dirty, but excellent feed and fire
The Sellier & Bellot ammunition cycled flawlessly through each of my 22LR pistol conversion kits (Advantage Arms for a Springfield XDm and a Sig Sauer conversion for a P226). No failures to feed or fire were experienced with over 200 rds through each. There is plenty of velocity to cycle the slide of each kit. The ammo is slightly dirty, but as long as you clean your gun after each day at the range, as I usually do, there is not a problem. Good, inexpensive practice ammunition.
Dirty ammo, but cheap
This ammo has the lead coated liberally in wax. The soft lead caused nothing but headaches for attempting to feed in my ruger 10/22, they would stick in the mag and cause failure to feed. I would get the occasional failure to eject from my ruger p22. My other revolver had no issues other than requiring an extra thorough cleaning.
Ran a 100 rounds of Sellier & Bellot 38 gr High Velocity Lead Hollow Point (HP) though a brand new Smith & Wesson M&P 22 Compact. Not a single failure to fire, to feed, to eject or to load. I will buy the Sellier & Bellot ammunition again.
We had eject failures and failure to load issues with both American Eagle and Federal Champion 40 gr 1240 fps cartridges. Remington Thunderbolt worked well too, but are more expensive than the Sellier & Bellot.
Excellent ammo for the price paid
I have been looking for 22 ammo locally for the past year and sure I can get 2 boxes of 50 at a time at a very high price. When i saw the price of these I had to invest.
I have fired about 50 rounds and about the only thing I can see that could cause a problem is the brass is very soft. I actually bent one of the shells pressing it into the mag.
Other than having to be careful pushing them into the mag.
all in all the rounds are great.
Thanks Be for Luckygunner
Just received our second shipment of these cartridges. What we were looking for. I am very happy with the performance of the round and its overall value. Even with shipping it beats the price locally - IF I can ever find any .22lr locally. Thank you Luckygunner!!!
Excellent .22lr Round
Just purchased another brick of these rounds. My wife shoots a GSG1911 .22lr pistol and they work fantastic. No problems at all. You cannot find .22lr HV around here where I live at any price. Thanks LuckyGunner for having these for sale. You guys rock!
We bought this based off the reviews, had not shot full lead in years, but since the price was right (well, not right - but in this market) figured to give it a try. We have had serious feeding issues with a brand new Ruger Mark II. The lead keeps hanging up on the ramp. All other brands (FMJ) we shot through it with no issues at. I think this is simply an issue with soft lead. I have not tried this in my 10/22 or bolt action at this time.
Good product, unable to test or use
I have not been able to fire the ammo as I have been in the hospital. It will be a couple of month before I can go to the range.
Price was better than I found on other sites or even local shops. Shipping was faster than any other place.
Good ammo for the price
This was our first time ordering from Lucky Gunner. Very impressed with the professionalism of the owners and staff. Order was shipped and received without a hitch. Very NICE people to do business with. If all businesses we're run like Lucky Gunner....this country would be in a better place.
We will continue to be customers and will tell friends and family about your company and web site.
Ammo fired well . Still have a few rounds left. No problems so far. Thank you.
Overall ....good ammo!
Fired only 20 rounds...so I can't say for certain it's quality as good as others might. I had 1/2" groups at 25 yds. It might be tighter if I used a bench rest but this was only supported but elbows on a table. The value was the best part of this product but expect the ammo will perform well enough for varmints and small game hunting.
Beats any price here in NY!
Ammo works great, 200 rds and no issues so far.. Using in my Ruger 10/22.. Price is great compared to anything in central NY, rounds did seem to have bit of sheen to them, perhaps a lubrication oil from manufacturing? Didn't get the gun too dirty.. Will keep buying until something better happens locally..
It work well at the range.
I had no problems with the amo. My problems was that it was a new gun and was different from my older gun. Like everyone else I remember cheap amp. My order came faster than I expected with no problems.
i miss the days of cheap; 22 shells and not having to search the world for them. with this site the ammo was delivered to my door and save me countless hours driving around trying to find it. i have fired 200 rounds through my 1965 marlin 22 rifle with no issues. it also seems to be pretty clean burning. my rifle fires very fast and is very picky which rounds i use. this stuff fired perfectly every time.
Great prices on quality stuff and plenty of choices!
Great prices on quality stuff. Nothing special required from 22 rimfires. I placed an order, the ammo arrived promptly, we shot a bunch of cans, a ground hog and a few squirrels that had been marauding the feed room. Haven't used the 223, but have no reason to expect problems.
a little pricey but..............
i shoot a ruger mdl 1 pistol and a ruger 10/22. this ammo cycled flawlessly in both and are as accurate as any ammo I have shot. all that from an ammo manufacturer I'd never heard of. I would buy more.
Good value - However, wish that I could purchase CCI high velocity
Arrived on time in good condition...Haven't had the time to go to the rifle range as yet, but have purchased this manufacturer's ammo in the past and have never had a problem.
Ok and not so ok. Maybe mag? Maybe the coating on the rounds?
My Dad gave me a RIA 45/22 combo pistol. Problem with feed issues and jams also some failure to ejects. The ammo has a black waxy substance over the projectile. I don't know if that's what was causing the feed issues or not but I just got some remington golden bullets. I am going to try and cycle a hundred through and see how it goes. I am going to reserve my final judgement on the ammo. I also wiped off the black coating on a 50 round box just to see how it shoots.
When it did shoot with the coating on without a jam or feed issue the rounds shot good so we'll see. I could only get 5 or 6 rounds off before it would jam, fte, ftf
This was the first
I've fired a few hundred rounds of this ammo through 3 pistols (2-S&W, 1 Walther) Only 2 misfires and it's very accurate. I'm very pleased with this ammo and will order more. As usual, service was superb. Thank you
Works well in My SR22
After Months of trying to find 22 LR at any of the local gun shops. I thought I would see what I could find on line. Came across lucky gunner and read the reviews on this ammo and decided to purchase some . All I can say is fair price and it works well with my Ruger SR22 No FTFs or FTEs Happy With my purchase Thanks Lucky Gunner
LG is #1, Ammo is so so...
I was happy to find .22LR, and at this price point I felt it was a good deal. What does fire fires well, but 4-7 rounds per box (4 boxes so far) failed to feed. After looking at the failed rounds I noticed the bullet is not seated properly (loose) and sits crooked in the case. I won’t complain about how dirty it is because I clean after every range session. Over all not a bad deal, and as usual, Lucky Gunner performed flawlesly. For reference I shoot a Remington 597.
Fast shipping and good price but poor ammo for semi-automatics.
The round were of good price considering what 22LR rounds go for today and they were delivered to my door step very fast. Unfortunately the rounds are very waxy/greasy and jam in both my clip's and the chamber all too often. I may have gotten off 10 rounds in a row once. My last batch was 1000 rounds of HV HP Winchester 22LR. I would run 25 round mags through my rifle again and again with little or no issue, to include rapid fire. These rounds will only be used in my pump 22lr and I will def buy something else for my semi auto-matics. A positive is I did notice that these did have some extra POP to them and chewed up whatever I was shooting at.
Great price, availability and service. As usual!
Would prefer heavier bullet and power but rounds are good. No function issues in my 10/22.
Waiting for the next hit deal on 12ga slugs and.......do you ever stock .280 Rem ammo?
This ammo will not eject from my Winchester model 60, I have to use my pocket knife to get the fired cartridge out. Remmington and Winchester ammo work will in this rifle.
They do preform ok in my Remmington rifle and Ruger revolver.
I am pleased!
My two bricks showed up sooner than I had anticipated, which was nice and there was no damage to my order and for the quality they looked fine and as for their performance I have as of yet not been to the range but soon I hope. Thank you for the great service!
Lots of people that I know are having trouble finding .22 LR ammo here in far Northern CA and in Southern OR. I have been telling people that I know about Lucky Gunner, and the availability of this ammunition. My sister in law and her husband were down a week or so ago whining about the shortage. I told them where I buy mine. They were not very believing so I ordered a brick, and had it by the next weekend when they came down. Proof positive. And, hollow points which we all use for ground squirrel shooting.
