A: The highest grain of .22LR ammo we stock is 40 grain. The 40 grain round is produced by many manufacturers from a lead round nose, to a copper plated hollow point. In a normal market we are able to stock a few varieties of this round.
A 60 grain round has existed, though only 1 or 2 manufacturers have produced this round and has not been popular among the shooting community. This would be considered a subsonic round. Due to the weight, it would not perform as a majority of the other 22LR rounds would. Manufacturers like Remington have designed a substitute subsonic round in lower grains to fill this need.
