A: This ammo does not have a steel core. It does however have a bi-metal jacket made of steel and copper. It will not pass a magnet test and would not be safe for indoor range use.

A: Hello Rud, FMJ is that the projectile in the cartridge is jacketed. So when you see JHP, that is a jacketed hollow point, they also have a SJHP, which is a semi-jacketed hollow point. So you have to read the description on each item. But this particular bullet is a jacketed hollow point.
