We’ve had it up to here (motions above head) with the so-called “civilized world.” It is not so good a place! You have to pay taxes … to the government, no less! You have to mow your lawn when it’s too sunny out! You have to go to work and do things other people tell you to do, too.

Here at Lucky Gunner, we say enough. We are forsaking the modern world (not counting the internet, which we need). We are going to the happiest place on earth – the gun range – with a couple of big, loose-packed 500-round boxes of Federal Premium American Eagle 223 Rem ammo!

Don’t bother cutting open this round’s bullet looking for steel. You won’t find any, which is why it can’t attract a magnet. Fire the 55 grain full metal jacket – the most popular bullet for AR-15 target shooting – at any gun range ou please.

Federal’s American-made ammo is loaded with noncorrosive Boxer primers and brand new brass cases. You may look at the grayness around the cases’ mouths and say “HEY! Why is there grayness around the cases’ mouths?” That’s just cosmetic evidence that the cases were made the correct way, which involves mouth-strengthening heat treatment.

This is good ammo to stockpile if you’re preparing for the possibility of the modern world actually ceasing to exist! The 55 grain FMJ’s not ideal for home defense, but it’d be silly to suggest that it can’t get the job done.
