Remington loads this round with a 62 grain projectile – just like a 5.56 M855 cartridge, except completely nonmagnetic. The massive bullet’s superior inertia enables it to retain more momentum as it speeds downrange, so you won’t have to compensate quite as much for wind drift.

Don’t mistake the hollow point for the kind of bullet you’d use for hunting or home defense. It will not provide terminal expansion, and is almost certain to over-penetrate a threat. The opening in the bullet’s tip is there because it gave passage to the molten lead that formed the core. Its balanced, form-fitted core complements the bullet’s concentric jacket so it can deliver superlative gyroscopic stability in flight!
