Regular old FMJ loads are all well and good for training and informal plinking, but when you wish to make your AR-15 into the most accurate rifle possible you want SIG Sauer’s Match Grade ammunition.

This round’s bullet is heavy at 77 grains. Once sufficiently stabilized by 1:8 or 1:9 twist barrel, its heightened momentum will keep gusts from throwing it off trajectory. While it may sort of look like a hollow point that’s intended for hunting or self-defense, this round’s open tip match is designed solely for long-distance accuracy and not terminal expansion.

This round is loaded with Sierra’s famous MatchKing. Its attenuated jacket adheres to a concentricity standard of 0.0003 in maximum variation – essentially perfect. Its boat tail and slim meplat boost its G1 ballistic coefficient to 0.362. Its core conforms precisely to the interior of its jacket to create optimal rotational stability. There is little wonder why the MatchKing wins more matches than all other bullets put together.

SIG respects a MatchKing by loading it in a select brass case with a matched primer and propellant charge. It’s all done according to SIG’s tightest quality assurance protocol so you can do some of your very fanciest shooting.
