This ammo makes my old marlin shoot with the same accuracy as my bolt action .223. 1 MOA AT 100 YARDS. even with a crosswind that made traditional bullets drift as much as 2". I sold all my traditional 30-30 ammo, LeverEvolution is the only ammo I have for my 30-30's

My experience with these rounds is excellent. Have dropped dozens of deer with this round and everyone had an exit wound. Thick brush and woods hunting. Most shots 100yds or less with only one at 150 yds. Again all had exit wounds.

Outstanding ammunition for lever action rifles with tubular magazines. Nice knockdown power. This is one of Hornady's greatest products; however, in my area it is almost impossible to find. I am very thankful that LuckyGunner had one box left in stock. Please get more!

LEVEREVOLUTION AMMO AND FTX IS SUPER 30-30 ROUND

I HAVE USED THIS AMMO ON DEER WITH GREAT RESULTS. I HAVE KILLED 8 OR 9 WITH IT OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS. NO LONG TRAILS AND MOST DROPPED IN TRACKS. NOT ONE DEER RAN OUT OF MY SIGHT. I LIMIT MY SHOTS TO SHORTER DISTANCES UNDER 150 YARDS DUE TO MY AGING EYES. I HAVE USED IT IN SEVERAL WIN 94 AND MARLIN 336 CARBINES AND SHORTER TRAPPER MODELS. I HAVE EVEN LOADED THE FTX BULLET ABOUT 3 GRAINS BELOW MAX (34 GRAINS BLC-2) FOR ACCURACY IN A MARLIN TEXAN AND IT STILL HAMMERS DEER. THE TYPICAL LEVER GUN ACCURACY RUNS OUT BEFORE THIS BULLET RUNS OUT OF GAS. THANKS TO HORNADY FOR GIVING THE LEVERGUNS A BOOST. ONLY CAUTION FOR ME IS TO TAKE CARE OF THE FLEX TIPS. IF YOU BREAK ONE OFF, DONT LOAD IT IN THE MAG TUBE, SHOOT IT SINGLE SHOT AT A TARGET.

I've used these rounds for years now, and all of the whitetail I've hit have dropped like a rock. One did run about 20 yards, but that is because the bullet zipped right through. These rounds enable the lever gun to be a player at 200 yards, something you couldn't expect with lesser, flat nosed ammo. These are all I shoot now, they rock!

I considered my old 30-30 to be under powered and not hard hitting enough to make clean kills in every hunting situation, so I hung her up years ago. I decided to dust her off last year after buying some of these rounds. I took a buck opening day at 328 yards. My longest shot in the woods of Pa. He never took a step. Very impressive.

This is a killer round, last year my brother took a 8 point buck at 180 yds with his Win. 94 30-30, the bullet went through a shoulder ,took out the heart, and busted the off leg as it exited. Not the first for him at distance of 150+ either. My only complaint would be the damage was very extensive, but then again he has not had to look for the deer or finish it off with another shot as the 3 he has shot with this round since he switched to them have all gone less than 30 FEET with only one shot. Chad .... stick with your core-lock, less power ,.less internal damage, less chance of finding your deer.....sounds good to me.

I don't know why an exit wound is so important. I have been hunting all my life (63 years) and have never worried about an exit wound. The most important thing in hunting to me is killing the animal quickly and not having to follow a blood trail through miles of forest and across other people's property. That is exactly what this round does as long as you hit the vitals. This ammo turned my old 30-30 into a 200 yard rifle with great accuracy and enough power to stop the animal when it got there. Take a word of wisdom from an old man, stop worrying about exit wounds and hunt like you are starving.

Awesome for Whitetail, with that kind of accuracy, range and expansion advantage who needs an exit hole! I bagged my first buck last year with this cartridge. He was a big 8 point on the run, and only made it an extra 20 yards. I shot him quartering away just behind the ribs at about 8o yards and actually found the bullet lodged in the opposite front shoulder. Great stopping power!

I agree with Chad who wrote "Not a Hunting Load", they don't always leave an exit hole. However, when it goes in it shreds the lungs and whatever vital it hits. I love the Hornady rounds. I honestly burned up my Remy rounds on targets so I could shoot deer with the Hornadys after I discovered the punch they put on a deer. I've never had a deer run after I hit it. Not even a yard, just straight down.

Hornady has created a nice round for the 30/30 with the load IF you intend on shooting targets. In the field, it does what a typical plastic (ballistic) tip round does... it implodes upon itself. I rate this product low on simple hunting experience... i want an exit wound. This cartridge will not give you that on a deer over 60 lbs. If target shooting on the range, however, it is a beautiful cartridge. 1/2" group at 100 yrd with the ole Marlin. If hunting with a 30/30, stick with the core-lock

I was able to shoot farther and the round realy leaves a great exit hole. LuckyGunner had the best deal I found. I bought 6 boxes because of the special increased savings.
