Remington loads this ammunition to their highest standards for consistency, uniformity, accuracy, and reliability. The bullet, however, is Sierra’s pride and joy. It’s none other than the MatchKing open tip match, which combines a wafer-thin and ultra-concentric copper jacket with a form-fitted and rotationally stable lead core to deliver three things in spades:
1. Accuracy;
2. Accuracy; and
3. Accuracy

The Sierra MatchKing’s nose cavity isn’t in the business of delivering terminal expansion. That plus the SMK’s relatively thin and frail jacket leaves much to be desired vis à vis its terminal ballistics while you’re hunting medium game. What the bullet has got is a high 0.330 G1 ballistic coefficient relative to its light 125 grain weight. Here’s the supersonic OTM’s 300-yard performance in action:
