You could absolutely use this ammo to hunt boar. I believe there is a photo of a boar on the box, as a matter of fact.

A: Hi Sean! With proper shot placement this round's terminal expansion is theoretically up to the task. But like you say, its energy is not quite optimal for deer. This round's ability to deliver 1,000 ft lbs or more energy ceases by around 85 yards, and that's usually the minimum amount recommended for ethical whitetail hunting. Whether you'd try it out is your call, but proper shot placement is going to be more crucial than usual when you hunt deer with any 300 Blackout. Hope this helps!
