The SST’s name is no empty claim. It truly does shock its target by triggering ultra-fast expansion on impact. Those terminal ballistics are all the deadlier thanks to the SST’s cannelure and InterLock: two rings keeping the core and jacket locked firmly together.
The SST is also designed to hit as hard with as much force as possible. Its boat tail, secant ogive profile and polymer tip all streamline it, which helps it coast across a pretty flat trajectory and arrive at point B with more oomph.
