If you would like to take this year’s deer (or hog, or elk, or what have you) like a positively distinguished gentleman (or gentlelady), then have we ever got the specific type of 300 Savage ammunition we’re trying to sell on this webpage for you: Federal Power-Shok. Wow!
Power-Shok is one of Federal’s less spendy brands – not overencumbered with technologically sophisticated features, but by all means capable of flicking any beast’s hat clean off its head.
The jacketed soft point bullet doesn’t play nicely with wild game. Its hard copper jacket and softer lead core are arranged in such a way that premits deleterious expansion. Its 2,350 fps muzzle velocity and 0.383 G1 BC (out of a 24” barrel) also mean it can carry 1,000 ft lbs of energy to nearly 400 yards, as illustrated in our thoughtfully calculated ballistic data:
0yds: 2,350 fps | 2,208 ft lbs | -1.5”
100yds: 2,137 fps | 1,825 ft lbs | 3.1”
200yds: 1,935 fps | 1,497 ft lbs | 0.0”
300yds: 1,746 fps | 1,219 ft lbs | -12.4”
400yds: 1,572 fps | 987 ft lbs | -36.2”
500yds: 1,414 fps | 799 ft lbs | -74.2”
Reloadable brass cases. Clean-igniting primers and powder. Made in Minnesota. Very nice.
