Giraitės Ginkluotės Gamykla is better known as “GGG” here in the United States, largely because no one knows how to pronounce “ė” (including everyone at Lucky Gunner). But you don’t have to be an expert on foreign vowels to appreciate this C.I.P. spec 308 Win range ammunition!
Lithuania is a European country situated northeast of Poland. This is only to say that GGG doesn’t espouse the predominantly Russian practice of loading bimetal jacketed projectiles. Trust this round’s 147 grain FMJ’s lead-antimony alloy core and copper-zinc alloy jacket to not attract a magnet.
GGG captured this round’s 2,700 fps muzzle velocity with a 22.36” barrel. Its bullet’s 0.410 G1 BC isn’t as high as a match grade OTM’s, but it’s still sufficient to deliver supersonic performance beyond 900 yards. We wouldn’t recommend getting shot with any rifle cartridge, although you’d really better choose a bullet that can expand if you’re planning a hunt.
