Aguila was founded in Mexico in 1961, and proceeded to rack up an impressive pedigree for themselves. They produced the world’s first mini shotshell, which at 1 3/4 inches long drastically increased the capacity of any tubular magazine. They proceeded to introduce the first powderless 22 Colibri, became one of the world’s preeminent rimfire ammo manufacturers, and now serve as the primary ammo supplier to the Mexican armed forces.

Those whirlwind sixty years have brought us here, to Agila’s 308 Win ammunition that’s optimized for accessibly priced yet nonetheless satisfying practice at the rifle range. Aguila’s 150 grain bullet gives this round ballistic performance that’s fairly equivalent to our Armed Forces’ M80 ball cartridge. As a full metal jacket its design is both economical and accurate, and its ballistic coefficient is only heightened courtesy of a tapering boat tail base.

Aguila wouldn’t have made such deep inroads into the American consumer market without giving their centerfire cartridges new production brass cases, non-corrosive Boxer primers, and clean burning propellant. This round’s bullet contains no steel, so rangemasters at ranges which ban magnetic ammo won’t give you trouble over it.
