This 308 round features the match shooter’s best friend: an open tip match bullet. The opening in the OTM’s nose is not there to help it expand inside of game or a threat. It proves that the bullet’s core formed within the confines of its jacket, creating exceptional rotational stability while simultaneously distributing more of its weight toward the base.

Alongside its highly concentric jacket this round’s 175 grain bullet is very well balanced, and its narrow meplat and boat tail base turn up its G1 ballistic coefficient to nearly 0.5. A bullet like this doesn’t have to rise by more than two feet en route to a 500 yard target, and doesn’t break subsonic until it has stretched beyond 1,100 yards.
