The ELD-X can only show off all of its tricks if it hits a deer (or whatever else is on the hunting trip’s agenda), however. Even low-velocity collision causes the bullet to reliably widen out. On the flip side, the ELD-X’s InterLock ring keeps its core and jacket tightly married together during high-energy impact. Those are the hallmarks of a true all-range hunting bullet. And longer ranges are certainly within reach when the ELD-X is as massive as 178 grains!
All in all, there’s little wonder why Armscor loads Hornady’s famous ELD-X bullets in the great state of Montana. Their brass, primers, and powder are all worthy of standing by so versatile a 308 Win bullet.
