Every cartridge is supposed to hit its target, of course (except blanks). Hornady just gives this round a major advantage: the boat tail hollow point Match, which combines the Nebraskan innovator’s hyper-concentric Advanced Manufacturing Process (AMP) jacket with a balanced swaged lead core and proven secant ogive profile to achieve outstanding ballistic performance; 0.405 G1 BC ballistic performance; this ballistic performance:
0yds: 2,700 fps | 2,509 ft lbs | -1.5”
100yds: 2,481 fps | 2,119 ft lbs | 5.0”
200yds: 2,273 fps | 1,778 ft lbs | 5.9”

This ammo is marketed to target shooters and varmint hunters. The BTHP’s not going to expand after impact. It’s not that kind of bullet. But when 155 grains of .30 caliber lead and brass collide with a woodchuck, there’s pretty much only one possible outcome.
