A: Hi Donald! I'd personally rather go with the heavier bullet. Higher weight = migher momentum = increased potential for deeper penetration. A 158 grain bullet can definitely get the job done on deer, but 180 grains represents deadlier terminal ballistics (at the cost of steeper bullet drop, which marksmanship can compensate for). I acknowledge that it largely boils down to personal preference at the end of the day. A: Hello Steve! I cannot attest to a cartridge's efficiacy out of a revolver which I've neither seen nor tested. That being said, this ammo should produce your desired effect in conjunction with a 3" barrel.
