A: Thanks for reaching out Toufic! This is standard pressure ammunition, not +P, so it produces a safe amount of chamber pressure for your '60s Colt Detective Special. This round's 889 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a 7.5" test barrel. I can't say exactly what muzzle velocity you will get with your Colt without doing a chronograph test, but you should certainly expect a slower one whether your barrel is 2" or 3".

A: The inner projectile is made of lead, while the jacketing on the outside of the round is copper. Additionally, no part of the round will stick to a magnet.
