This Remington cartridge features a 158 grain lead semi-wadcutter projectile. The bullet’s broad nose profile and sharp shoulder work together to cut a very clean hole through a sheet of paper. If you like to score your shots, or simply tell where they have landed after shooting the same target a few times, you could choose few better types of bullet for the job. A wadcutter’s ability to excavate a wide wound channel without expanding also suits it nicely for defense with a snubnose revolver, which may not give a hollow point adequate velocity to expand.
This round’s brass case demands reloading, and will keep its precise dimensions for smooth feeding into and extraction out of a cylinder. Remington’s classic KleanBore provides reliable ignition, but without producing the residues which can rust or corrode a barrel. A great choice for lever-action rifles as well!
