True 380 ACP tracer ammunition doesn’t exist. Even if it did, firing little bullets filled with combustible fuel wouldn’t exactly be the safest thing you could do at the range. But thanks to Ammo Inc.’s Streak line of ammunition, you can now enjoy the experience of firing tracers out of your 380 pistol – safely!
This is non-incendiary ammunition. Its 100 grain total metal jacket bullet does not contain a single combustible material, and it doesn’t produce heat. The bullet simply has a little reflective red dot on its base, which glows brightly once it has been exposed to a handgun’s normal muzzle flash. The bullet will leave a streak of red light in its path if you fire it in low light or indoors, thus giving you immediate visual feedback on your marksmanship.
We always recommend TMJ bullets for indoor range use (even when they aren’t luminescent). The TMJ is unlike the full metal jacket because its lead core is 100% sealed in by its copper exterior. That prevents ignition from producing aerosolized lead, which at once promotes better respiratory health and an all-around cleaner firearm.
