The SCHP’s chief advantage is its superior weight retention. It lacks a jacket that could have detached from its core, and copper itself is an exceedingly durable metal. For these reasons the SCHP loses no less than five percent of its original weight as it passes through tough barriers and fibrous soft tissue.

The SCHP does offer terminal expansion comparable to that of a standard JHP, of course. It does so by protruding five flat petals shaped like fingernails, which together produce the wide wound channel which is more effective at halting an attacker.
