Suppose we asked you to help us fight some bad guys at a nuclear power plant. You would want frangible ammo for so sensitive an environment because it’s less likely to penetrate hard surfaces. We’re not nuclear engineers, we’re pretty sure you don’t want to start shooting up the pipes coming out of a nuclear reactor.

SinterFire GreenLine would make a good choice for our mission. This 40 S&W cartridge’s lightweight 125 grain Reduced Hazard V-Force bullet is frangible – 100 percent compressed copper and tin powders. Since this frangible bullet will crumble and disintegrate when it hits a steel target or something hard behind a target, it is basically unable to ricochet shrapnel back at you.

SinterFire’s ammo is even better for indoor shooting because it is lead-free. In addition to its frangible bullet, this round has a Sintox lead-free primer, so repeated fire won’t leave you mired in a fog of atomized heavy metal.

Other than being lead-free, this round’s primer is perfectly normal. If you pop it out of its new brass case, you’ll have the key ingredient for a quality handload.
