This cartridge is loaded with the popular 240 grain projectile, which has a flat nose profile that punches a reasonably clean hole through a sheet of paper and also assures safe storage in a rifle’s tubular magazine. The total metal jacket projectile is just like the full metal jacket but with one key exception: the TMJ’s nonmagnetic copper jacket covers the base of its lead core instead of exposing it. This prevents the heat of ignition from evaporating lead off the core, which poses two great benefits: no visible lead fouling of the barrel, and no vaporized lead that can work its way into the shooter’s respiratory system. Each round in this case of 1,000 sports a brand new brass case and noncorrosive Boxer primer, which makes it reloadable. Hyperclean Technology propellant burns up extra clean, so you’ll have even less residue to worry about while you’re plugging away at your bullseyes.
