This is MBI’s 44 Magnum target ammo – a great choice for your revolver or lever gun. The flat point is exactly the bullet you want for shooting targets, including steel. Instead of conventional copper alloy, the bullet is enveloped in polymer. This eliminates lead-on-bore contact in the barrel, which (A) minimizes fouling, and (B) greatly reduces friction. A cleaner, longer-lasting barrel. Nice. Polymer is super if you’re shooting steel targets, as it won’t ruin your day if it deflects back and hits your face. Shrapnel – not something anyone has ever enjoyed getting struck by. (My own father-in-law still can’t get an MRI because of some shrapnel he brought back with him from Vietnam.)
