This 45 ACP training cartridge is loaded to match the ballistic performance of Browning’s BXP Personal Defense label ammunition, but it’s a great pal at the range regardless of the ammo you’d use for actual self-defense.
This round’s bullet is an FMJ, the most economical target shooting projectile for semi-automatic handguns. It is designed to feed reliably in 1911s and other firearms chambered for 45 Auto, but not to expand after it has struck a soft target.
At 185 grains this bullet achieves a faster muzzle velocity than the classic 230 grain 45 Auto bullet. That promotes a flatter trajectory that may give you an easier time hitting your bullseye. Browning’s bullets are exclusively steel-free and nonmagnetic.
Browning’s American made ammunition is loaded with propellant that is specifically formulated to deliver consistent recoil and ballistic performance, as well as cleaner ignition. It is also loaded in brass cases with non-corrosive Boxer primers, so handloaders will absolutely want to pick up what their pistols spit out.
