Remington UMC 45 ACP 230 grain metal cased ammunition. Remington was founded in 1816. These guys have been making ammunition for a long time. In fact, it's one of the oldest companies that makes the original product that it makes in the USA. And because of that experience, there is outstanding performance. Because they're just consistent, they know what they're doing.
UMC is perfect for plinking, target practice, just a great day out at the range, especially if you're going to be shooting a high volume of ammo. The brass is factory fresh and the powder's blended for consistent velocity. With Kleanbore primers and the metal case ball for reliability and function, it's just great for high volume practice. With a muzzle velocity of 835 feet per second and then a muzzle energy of 356 foot pounds, this is a full power load.
It's designated this metal case. But that just means it's a full metal jacket lead bullet, non-corrosive powder, primers. Also, pick up your brass. Great for reloading. Remington ammunition is made in Lonoke, Arkansas, but it's distributed in over 60 countries.
Now, I tested this Remington UMC ammunition with a Glock Model 36, a European American Armory Witness Compact .45, also a Springfield Armory Champion, and a Colt 1911. Function flawless.
And making one, good, jagged hole at 15 yards with this ammunition? No problem. The Remington UMC is a perfect blend of value and performance.

Works great, has been completely dependable
Have run thousands of "green & white" and now "green & white UMC" through my USP Expert. Flawless. No feed errors. No failures to fire. No ejection errors. Have never noticed any accuracy issues. I generally prefer Federal for my other weapons but the price and performance of this product has kept my using the Remington.
Worst ammo ever, dirty powder, fouls and jams pistol, Not accurate. Remington UMC 230 gr MC 45 Auto
Started with a clean Glock; after just 30 rounds I had 3 jams with shell cases not fully ejecting, plus the slide, ejector, and barrel were already filthy with black soot. Also, at just 30' (yes, thirty feet), the ammo was consistently hitting 10" low. I changed back to Winchester 230 gr ammo without cleaning the gun and had zero jams shooting 150 rounds and was back on target.
The Remington ammo is UMC 45 Auto 230 Gr. with box marked MC, not marked FMJ. Although most reviews indicate MC and FMJ are essentially the same I have to wonder if the MC is a lower quality load. I will not buy Remington 45 auto ammo again because something is wrong with the quality control of this caliber, even though I'm still using Remington ammo in my 223 without issues.
Fantastic Range Round !!!
This is the first time I have used this ammo, but it will sure not be the last. Not a problem in the world at with it. Honestly, I cannot find a negative thing to say about it for a range round. Cycled flawlessly through my Rock Island and my Para Slim Hawg. It is as clean as any and cleaner than most for residue.
Excellent for more than 40 years!
I've used this ammo in my Colt 1911 series 70 since it was issued to me in the mid 1960's and it is reliable, accurate, and deadly anytime it is needed to do the job. If not for learning at an early age from my Dad's
WW-II Colt 1911 I would not be as good. I don't miss and never have at less than 30 yards. Still enjoy practicing to keep accurate and enjoy my Son and grandchildren's shooting abilities. Great family sport can be done at any age. Thank you Remington for making America safe.
Great value for range practice and tactical carbine/ pistol course competition.
I used the .45's through my Springfield XD and Springfield Range Officer during a recent Tactical Carbine/Pistol competition without a problem. Clean burning with very little fouling. Accuracy was good using 500 rounds during this competition. Will order this again.
Excellent ammo for range use. Have shot it thru several different 1911's as well as Glock's and my XD's. Great value for the cost and really great service from Lucky Gunner! Brass is also fine for reloading. Will buy again.
1st Time Online Ammo Purchase
Due to the ammo crunch I had not been able to find much ammo in my area and wanted to get some .45. The price was very close to what I paid for a case at a gun show about a year ago. I have used Remington before and liked it, good clean ammo, so I ordered a case from LuckyGunner. It was there in 2 days, as advertised, and I have been very happy with the process and purchase. Thanks LuckyGunner, I have recommended you to a few people.
Looks and preforms good
Looks good and more consistent firing then most target rounds I have shot. Shot hundreds of rounds with Springfield XDm and no misfires. Price just a little higher then comparable US ammo but I think it is worth it. I will buy again and again.
It is dirty and more than once (two/three_times) the bullet was pushed too far down into the casing...causing feeding issues*
Overall for the money, a GOOD DEAL. The casing and crimping concern me sometimes as there always seems to be at least one or two in a Bulk purchase that has the bullet jammed to far down and or there is a jagged edge on the brass. This has happened with my Glock21 and the Glocks I have owned some for twenty five years have never had feeding or ejection problems, until the Remington Ammo and or the Blazer Steel during rapid fire one 9mm Bullet on my Glock17 bought in 1987 , until this year never any problems the Blazer Steel maybe aluminum stayed in the chamber burnt and smoking (weak load) don't know. Getting back to Remington there seems to be especially with the .45 one or two bullets that have some kinda problem with the BRASS. This problem has shown up using my SigSauer /SIGARMS 1911 GSR ....too,NOT limited to Glock.
I bought this ammunition because it was cheap and I like to shoot a lot. I ran about 150 rounds through my new Glock 21 and it fed and fired fine. It sure was dirty though. The front inch or so of my slide was covered in residue. There was also one round I found so far that had the casing kinda bent in at the end. It looks like the casing had caught the bullet when it was pressed in.
I would buy it again if the price was good.
First time buyer, and WOW what a great product, price and delivery time
First time buyer, and WOW what a great product, price and delivery time (ordered on Tuesday, had them in my hands on Thursday). Went through 200 rounds and not a single problem.
It's a good round but it seems to fire a bit dirtier than other rounds I have used. It cycles great thru my Springfield XD(m). I recieved this product quickly after I ordered it. I will continue to use Lucky Gunner!!!
