These Arkansas-made bullseye pulverizers are loaded to pretty much the same specs as the ammo the Army once used. A .45 cal 230 grain full metal jacket, upon taking off from a 5” barrel at 830 fps velocity, is poised to treat you to this kind of spectacle:
0yds: 830 fps | 352 ft lbs | -0.8”
10yds: 823 fps | 346 ft lbs | -0.1”
20yds: 815 fps | 340 ft lbs | 0.0”
30yds: 808 fps | 334 ft lbs | -0.4”
40yds: 801 fps | 328 ft lbs | -1.3”
50yds: 794 fps | 322 ft lbs | -2.8”
The FMJ is steel-free. Can’t attract a magnet. Safe for ranges that take umbrage with “magnetic ammo.” It does have a plated jacket, however, which is why we recommend keeping this ammo away from guns that have ported barrels or muzzle devices.
Remington Range ammo is loaded with Kleanbore primers – Remington’s original noncorrosive primer. It’s also charged up with temperature-stable smokeless propellant, which keeps performance more consistent under a wider range of climate conditions.
