These cartridges are a great pick for all indoor ranges, including those that have a problem with magnetic ammo. Each round sports a 230 grain full metal jacket – a perfectly normal bullet for the hallowed forty-five, and incapable of attracting a magnet when it doesn’t contain one molecule of steel.
If you were under the impression that this ammo is loaded with brass cases, then that’s perfectly understandable. They’re brass-plated, which gives them a nicer appearance and helps them avoid tarnishing in storage. But just beneath that shiny exterior sits a steel case, which is the main reason why you’ll pay relatively less for this ammo.
This ammo is not reloadable. It’s also not corrosive! There’s no need to boil your 1911 after firing it.
