Fortunately, CCI doesn’t appear to be too bitter over the whole debacle. Instead of washing their hands of 45 ACP altogether, they’re loading a high-quality example of it under their Blazer Brass label.
This round’s a real O.G. slugger: loaded with a 230 grain bullet and 850 fps muzzle velocity (5” barrel), just like back in the day. The bullet’s jacketed hollow point design delivers terminal expansion – hence this ammo’s suitability for defense – although its economical and nonmagnetic natures also make it a fine choice for roughing up bulls.
Blazer Brass cases are not made of aluminum, if you can believe it. They’re the freshly minted alloy you want if you handload (or just enjoy collecting small brass objects).
