Syntech Training Match offers ammo with the same ballistic performance as Federal’s comparable HST self-defense loads, so you can practice the same way you would fight. This 45 ACP round’s 230 grain bullet is a Total Synthetic Jacket, with a lead core encapsulated in polymer. The heat of ignition will not evaporate the lead in the core, so you can breathe a little easier at an indoor range. The TSJ creates less friction in the bore than traditional gilding metal, which reduces heat and prolongs the barrel’s lifespan. That tough polymer reduces the rate of barrel fouling, as well as the chance of splash-back. This is good, because splash-back hurts.

This round’s brass shell casing is Federal quality: smooth feeding and reloadable. Its Catalyst primer complements the TSJ’s clean performance, because it also works without dispersing toxic vapors.
