This round’s bullet is designed for defense – but certainly not against people. The Solid Core projectile does not expand at all, so it’s nearly certain to punch clean through a man-shaped threat. The exceptionally hard, flat-nosed, and heavyweight 240 grain bullet instead stabs the deepest hole into its target as its momentum will let it. Aimed right, and there’s no large game it can’t give a heart attack to at close range.
This round’s hard cast bullet doesn’t wear a normal copper jacket. Its shell is Syntech: a high-tech polymer that reduces friction (to extend barrel lifespan), eliminates lead and copper fouling, and promotes more efficient ignition without need for a wax ring or gas check.
This is +P ammunition. If a pistol with a 5” barrel is rated to safely contain the ammo’s higher pressure, then it’ll send over 500 ft lbs of energy to any point within a 25-yard radius. Not 500 S&W Magnum level stopping power, but effective nevertheless.
