A: Thanks for reaching out Jaylen! Its modern smokeless propellant and noncorrosive primers aside, this ammo isn't signifcantly different from what the U.S. Army would have issued for combat back druing the late 1800s. Granted, there are better solutions for self-defense, although it would be ludicrous to suggest that this ammo couldn't prove effective during a life-or-death scenario.

A: Hi Nick. the Judge will fire any .45 Long Colt (also known as .45 Colt or .45 Revolver) round. If you want really mild shooting plinking rounds, stick with any round marked "Cowboy Action".
