This ammo was made for Hornady by the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. It’s military grade, with visibly annealed (yet still new and reloadable) brass cases to show for it. It’s not military surplus, though, which means it’s fresh as monkey’s breath and ready to rock and roll in your 5.56 rifle of choice.
Hornady manufactured this ammo’s bullets. The old Nebraskan company makes a mighty fine FMJ, complete with the steel-free jacket and core requisite for compliance at all indoor ranges. Expect the 55 grain FMJ to exit a 20” barrel at a velocity of 3,240 fps. And remember: “M193” just means this is the most popular type of ammo for target shooting with AR-style rifles!
