A quarter ounce cartridge means business, sir. This 50 BMG ammo by Prvi Partizan is a great way to enjoy firing your Barrett M82 at the rifle range, and would also make a fine solution for self-defense in the event your home is ever attacked by Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa fighter planes.

Prvi Partizan bills this 50 BMG cartridge as an M33, although its bullet weighs 625 grains rather than 660. As such its muzzle velocity ought to see a slight boost, although its available energy over extremely long distances won’t be as great. (But still substantial, needless to say.) It is an FMJBT, with the boat tail requisite for the reduction of drag which improves downrange velocities and resistance to wind drift. Take note that a 50 BMG bullet’s mild steel core won’t let it pass a magnet test!

Prvi Partizan’s clean burning propellant is paired with a non-corrosive primer – a Boxer-style 50 BMG primer, in this case. The old Serbian manufacturer exclusively loads new production brass cases to ensure correct sealing of the chamber upon ignition, and they make a lovely reloading components once you’ve launched their big bullets into oblivion.
