Reaching out to a long distance in order to tag a deer that you've been tracking for days means nothing if the bullet can't get the job done when it lands. That's why these 6.5mm Creedmoor loads from Federal's Non-Typical Whitetail brand are built expressly for precision hunters employing fine, custom-built or factory derived rifles. Each cartridge is constructed using Federal's own brass case which is rolled in-house and then checked over for burrs or inconsistent measurements. The casing is armed with one of Federal's own clean-igniting Boxer primers and fitted with a 140-grain soft point projectile.

140 grains is a common heavyweight rating used by Hornady, the creators of the 6.5mm Creedmoor, that will match many choices in competitive ammunition. Federal designed the Non-Typical soft point with a toothed cannelure which helps the copper jacket cling to its lead core during entry. The cannelure, along with a sleek ogive, also serves to provide optimized accuracy for groupings that you can trust. When the bullet makes contact, its exposed nose will cause the bullet to expand outward in a mushroom-like fashion in order to help push energy into a deer's vital organs and achieve a fast and effective drop. Federal has been around since 1922 and has an amazing reputation for performance, innovation, and quality among shooters of all backgrounds.
