Elk harvest at 576 yards
Review by Tim
I harvested a 5 X 5 Elk at 576 yards in Wyoming. You could literally hear the impact of the round when it hit the bull.
The round entered the animal behind the left shoulder and dropped immediately. No struggle, a clean kill. I have had a gun made and will shoot the 6.5 PRC round exclusively.

Hornady P.H. 143gr. ELD-X, xtremely deadly & accurate ammo
Review by Louie
I just recently harvested a 200lb. on the hoof white-tail buck. This was my first experience with my new Ruger 6.5 Creed-more. The choice of ammo was endless, after researching numerous reviews and advice from a fellow hunter and friend I decided on the Hornady P.H. 143gr.. The results were outstanding, at 153 yards the big body buck fell in his tracks. South Texas bucks grow big and heavy with age, one shot slightly behind the shoulder dropped this buck. A upon examination of the internal organs revealed to me the the heart lung area appeared to be completely devastated. The round appeared to have come apart with no exit wound to be noted. Bone particulars were detected within the chest cavity and a "jello type state" of the organs was evident. The entrance wound in the inside was the diameter of a quarter or 25 cent piece. I was very impressed with devastation of the round on such a large whitetail. A clean and humane dispatch of the animal was evident to say the least. The Hornady P.H. 143. ELD-X is in my opinion a proven hunters round.
