For $.21/rnd there’s nothing better. I didnt believe it until I shot it but have been dropping 150-250lbs hogs with one shot all spring. Even have to test it on a possum at 150yds—killed that turkey egg eater with crazy accuracy. I clean my rifles after each hunt so don’t really care if it’s a bit dirtier than .80/rnd other ammo. It’s not perfect but that more a result of the cartridge shape, mag fit and feed ramp. Running it pretty flawlessly from Primary Weapon System with CPD mags. MUST HAVE A REAL AK-47
PURCHASED 1000 RND BOX SHIPPED IN 3 DAYS, WENT OUT BACKYARD IMMEDIATELY AND RAN 90 ROUNDS IN THREE DIFFERENT MAGS FLAWLESSLY, A LITTLE DIRTY BUT FOR THE PRICE ITS A BARGAIN BESIDES I HAVE TWO CLEANING KITS HA HA!
Not going to purchase again.
I have about 1500 rounds of this. It doesn't fire the first time. Run it again through the SKS and it will fire the second time. The firing pin is making deep dents in the primers yet will not fire on the first hit 90% of the time. Other brands run just fine in this gun. Must be a bad batch.
I have found after many rounds fired that wolf and tula are the best rounds you can buy if you are shooting 7.62x39 AK's... With over 1000 rounds fired through my arsenal i have had no misfires, no problems with ejecting, no jams... For the money and lots of fun at the range (with a russian made rifle) you will not find much of a better deal anywhere out there...
great bang for buck
I've bought three 1k cases of ammo from lg. Two tula the last one wolf. No matter the brand i always have a handful of no fires i need to run through my AK again to fire. Sometimes three smacks on the primer before firing. That type of hang/miss fire does freak me out but never had a "dangerous" round, and is dead accurate if can shoot straight.
Good Performance for AK/SKS
I've put about 500 rounds downrange from my VEPR, and I haven't had a single FTF or FTE. No complaints with the lacquer or anything like that - but then again, I'm firing ammo designed for an AK out of an AK. Kinda dirty, sure, but does not appear to be corrosive. The value is pretty good, given the insane increase in ammo prices, and Lucky Gunner is the best when it comes to shipping and quality.
I'm definitely going to get a few thousand more, before things get worse. Thanks, LG!
This stuff may be wonderful in your AK47 but it isn't in my Ruger mini-30. That lacquer coating turns to glue when fired. It took me several weeks to get the spent casing of the 25th found I fired out of the chamber. I don't reccomend this stuf for American made weapons.
