This cartridge has an ordinary weight 124 grain FMJ bullet. The FMJ is as simple as a semi-auto bullet gets, with a lead core, gilding metal jacket and solid point design that inhibits terminal expansion. Of course, once you start using an AK-47 for home defense a bullet that delivers terminal expansion is kind of like icing on the cake, so to speak. Although designed for target shooting and tactical training, you can count on this ammo for personal protection.
Norma’s brass cases are freshly drawn and brand new. You may see some gray around these rounds’ case necks, but that’s a totally normal side effect of the annealing process which makes cases more supple and durable. This ammo contains no magnetic steel, and its non-corrosive primers will keep a Kalashnikov, SKS, or AR-47 rust-free.
