There are generally two types of ammunition: the kind you want to enjoy as soon as possible, and the kind you hope you never have to fire. Range and hunting rounds fall into the former category, while self-defense ammo falls in the latter (unless you train with it). You can put this 7.62x39 ammo by Wolf in the latter category too, if you like, because it’s hermetically sealed in a spam can. It’ll stay fresh and ready to fire for the rest of your lifetime -- which might just become longer as the result of your having 700 AK-47 rounds ready to go at a moment’s notice.

This ammo is steel cased, so it’s considerably more affordable than the brass cased variety. The casings’ polymer coatings aid them on their path from magazine to ground, and they’ll guard against corrosion should you ever have to emancipate them from the safety of their spam can. These rounds’ 124 grain full metal jacketed projectiles aren’t exactly ideal for self-defense applications, but given a choice you’d most certainly take them over nothing. If you’re preparation-minded and you own an AK or SKS, this can begs to be stowed somewhere on your property!
