Wolf has equipped this round with a heavyweight 154 grain bullet. It is a soft point, with a jacket that stops just shy of covering the lead in its tip. Its jacket fortifies the bullet, ensuring it doesn’t shatter apart as it plunges deeply into its target. As the bullet rockets through flesh its exposed core brings about significant deformation, causing the bullet to mushroom outward and spin around as it produces a wide, debilitating injury.
Wolf utilizes some cost-saving features when they make their ammo. Steel cases drive production costs down, as do bimetal jackets – this ammo is magnetic and not reloadable because of them. Wolf’s Berdan primer is still non-corrosive, and the polymer with which they coat their cases lessens friction to promote smoother cycling in an AK-47. Good for hunting with an SKS as well!
