A: We haven't got anything heavier than 140 grains in stock at this very monent, but I expect an expereinced elk hunter could put Barnes' 140 grain TSX to good use. As a copper bullet its tougher composition lends itself well to deeper penetration. We have got that in stock: luckygunner.com/7mm-08-rem-140-grain-barnes-tsx-federal-20-rounds.
You may want a heavier ~160 grain bullet for elk, since that's a thicker animal which demands deeper penetration. HSM makes a great 7mm-08 elk round: hsmammunition.com/tipping-point. Swift also makes a good one – look for their product number 10113.
