That unpleasant scenario could have been avoided had you only bought Speer Lawman Reduced Hazard Training (RHT) ammunition. This 9mm cartridge’s bullet is frangible: copper and tin powder, sintered (not melted) into a solid, which becomes powder once again when it pshewww – hits a hard surface.
Notice how this round’s frangible bullet is very light. That’s the only reason why it has a higher muzzle velocity (i.e. it is not over-pressure). It also alludes to this ammo’s other great desirable feature: its bullets are lead free. Ignition and impact won’t scatter lead around, which is good news 4U if you’re shootin’ indoors.
