Igman is headquartered in the Balkan nation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and they focus on making a select few types of ammunition for military and civilian applications. Their 9mm ball ammo is absolutely perfect for any kind of handgun or carbine you might want to dust off sometime soon!

This cartridge is loaded with a 124 grain bullet, which achieves a handgun muzzle velocity of 1,115 fps (give or take a reasonable 50 fps). If you’re unfamiliar with Igman, then you may wonder if their bullets are magnetic. No worries! This bullet’s lead-antimony core is surrounded by a tombac jacket (90% copper, 10% zinc), so it’s incapable of attracting a magnet.

You’re going to get smooth feeding and consistent accuracy out of this cartridge’s round nose profile FMJ, but no terminal expansion to speak of. Keep these range loads on the range where they belong, unless there’s an emergency and no hollow point ammo is available!

Igman’s other components are similarly high quality: new brass cases instead of steel, non-corrosive Boxer small pistol primers instead of Berdans, and smokeless single base flake powder to see to consistent recoil and ballistic performance.
