You’re allowed to fire hollow points for self-defense. So why bother with 9mm NATO? Because this ammo is a great way to train if you want similar performance to your 9mm +P 124gr JHP self-defense load at the range. It’s also nice if you want to witness a slightly flatter and easier to aim trajectory out of your pistol or carbine.
While 9mm NATO is not technically +P, it still should be treated as such. That means you should only fire this ammo in firearms that are rated for +P, as well as prepare for stronger recoil if you do. Aside from its hotter propellant charge, this is Winchester’s usual high-quality American-made factory fresh ball ammo with reloadable brass cases, non-corrosive Boxer primers and nonmagnetic projectiles.
