This 9mm +P ammunition by NovX is ballistically matched to their Engagement: Extreme self-defense cartridge. Still, it stands on its own merits to offer a satisfying approach to training and target shooting alike.

This round’s bullet is a flyweight at 65 grains, which means it easily achieves a 1,800 fps velocity out of a pistol’s muzzle. The fast-flying bullet maintains a flat trajectory so you can enjoy greater accuracy, yet it still generates little recoil to throw off your aim. The copper-polymer composite the bullet is made from is both lead-free and nonmagnetic, making it both clean shooting and compliant at all indoor ranges.

Most importantly, this round’s bullet is frangible. It will erupt into harmless dust the instant it connects with a hard surface like steel or concrete, virtually eliminating splash-back when you’re firing on nearby steel targets or a ricochet if it hits a concrete wall or inconveniently placed stone.

This round’s case is made of NAS3 stainless steel. It’s at once durable and lighter than conventional brass, and its non-corrosive primer is set in an aircraft-grade aluminum pocket to promote extremely reliable ignition.
