I've been shooting since I was 8 years old, I'm 54 now. Shot all types of manufactures ammo! It really doesn't matter a whole lot which brand you choose for the most part they all work pretty good yes some better then others. Winchester has been around forever, they don't make junk! If they did they wouldn't have been around as long as they have! This is great ammo for not alot of cake. I have never had a stove pipe or misfire after shooting 200 rounds ea Sunday for the past months of July and Aug in my Remington R1 enhanced commander 1911(always cleaned good after every range session) Example - I've had blazer brass(yes it's less money..) and comparing them..looking the difference the blazer brass is slightly pitted on the brass also the copper jacket looks low quality compared to the Winchester..theirs is not pitted brass. the copper jacket looks much better, a higher grade of copper...overall this ammo works great and is accurate! I always use this ammo at the range and reuse the brass since it is a good grade of brass to be reloaded. Yes there's going to be better ammo out there but you'll also pay more. For this price point you can't go wrong! Winchester makes a good product at a fair price!
Top Notch Range Ammo
I've put about 500 rounds through my Ruger SR1911, at least 300 was Winchester 230gr FMJ. Experienced 3 FTF in the first 150-200 rounds, but that was during the breaking-in period. Put another 100 rounds of the Winchester through last week, no issues.
Power and Accuracy
The Winchester .45 APC 230 Grain Ball Ammo is a bit more expensive that most bands, but well worth the cost. This ammo feeds well in my S&W 1911, and has demonstrated impressive accuracy. I'm hooked!
Review of .45 ACP Winchester
Generally, I shoot 5K rounds per year in Glock 21 -- - execllant round! If in doubt compair another with it. As to being a clean round, I'll clean my piece any time I shoot. I'm sure you do as well. My God Bless and Keep You and Yours.
Absolutely love the performance of these rounds. Very consistent. Haven't had a Misfire yet and they feed very well.
But they do make gun dirty fast, which is a downside.
If you are lucky enough, you can get them at Walmart for 38 dollars for 100 rounds. Shop around.

I shoot about 1000 round to 2000 round of this ammo in various 1911's per year. I've found it to be extremely accurate.... FYI, I'm a retired LEO, I shoot at the Handgun Combat Master Level and I'm a firearms instructor at one of the larger firearms training schools in the S.W. USA.
