Sellier & Bellot has been making ammunition in the Czech Republic since 1825. Today it's used by civilian, law enforcement, and armed forces all around the world. A few years ago, S&B was bought by the Brazilian parent company CBC, who also owns Magtech, another maker of quality ammo.
The 230 grain .45 ACP ammo that we tested utilizes a reloadable brass case with a non-corrosive primer and a traditional lead bullet with a copper full metal jacket. The individual cartridges come tightly packaged in a 50 round box with two plastic carriers of 25 rounds each. With a muzzle velocity of around 850 feet per second, it has moderate recoil for the .45, not quite what you'd get from high pressure defensive loads, but not the softest recoiling either, putting it at a comfortable meeting for use as training ammo.
Accuracy from the bench at 15 yards was surprisingly exceptional, with 9 of our 10 shots grouped in just over an inch. Other calibers of S&B that we've tested have had respectable accuracy, but this batch of .45s seemed to top all of them. Function and reliability was good, as well. The S&B ammo fed through all six of our test guns with no problems. If you prefer brass case ammo for practice and want top notch reliability and accuracy, then Sellier & Bellot in .45 ACP looks like a good choice.

I've put about 500 rounds through my M1911 with this ammo, and just ordered more. I had one or two FTEs, but always on the last mag of the day when the weapon (which is nearly 30 years old) was hot, so I'm not convinced the ammo was the problem. Good ammo for the price, but out of 850 rds fired.
6 FTF & 4 MF I would pay more for USA ammo

I have put nearly 500 rounds thru my Sig p220 and HK USP 45 Compact - no failures to feed and no missfires. Accuracy is very good.Performance Value Quality
Liked it so much bought another 1,000 rounds.
You do need to be careful with some other calibers of Sellier & Bellot as they are or can be magnetic - which will limit their shootability at an indoor range.
