My new go too
This ammo Performed just as well as many other 223 Ammunition twice as expensive as it. The quality of brass is so-so. But who can complain when you hitting quarters at 200 yards. I haven't tested it past that, but if its anything like the American Eagle grey tip, 1 MOA groups are most certainly possible past 300yards.
Very accurate ammo
I have used this ammo in my marlin X7VH in .223 with a 26" very heavy bull barrel. This gun really loves this ammo ! I have shot several 3 shot groups that were under 1/2" at 100 yards, with some measuring 1/4 inch ! Love this set-up so far.
20 misfires out of 300rds
I've been shooting this round for years never had a problem but on my last outing I had 20 misfires out of two 50 rd boxes out of two different rifles all had excellent primer strikes. I will no longer be able to keep this ammo in my AR for personal protection confidence in this round is no longer there!!!! Quality control must be slipping too bad
my rem. 700 tactical (1 in 9 twist, 20 inch barrel) likes these. I've shot several 5 shot groups measuring under 1.25" at 200 yards in the first half of the box with either bipod or sand bags. They consistently shoot a little better for me then the 40gn version.
High quality with super performance
Love shooting this ammo. Very clean with no FFT/FTR, extreamely accurate with less than 1-1/4" group with 10 shots at 100 yards out of a RRA 16" barrel. Will be using this ammo on some coyotes at the hunting lease. If it was a little less expensive I'd be buying by the case and not shooting anything else. Did I mention that I love this ammo?
I've purchased Fiocchi shotgun shells in the past. They out performed more expensive shells easily. I decided to try the rifle ammo, loaded with V-Max bullets, and was very happy with it. I'm using it in a new Rock River Arms CAR-4.
Prior to buying the Fiocchi, I had been using Federal XM-193. Although there is only a five grain difference, I had to adjust my sights a little. The Fiocchi ammo is very accurate, and paired with the V-Max bullet, it's amazing. The V-Max explodes on impact. Don't use on any rabbits or squirrels you plan on eating. There won't be much left!
Although some people say, not to use "Varmint Ammo" for self defense, that's exactly what I bought this for. There are other homes close by, and I wouldn't want to risk sending an errant bullet into another house. The V-Max, there is little worry about that, as it fragments upon impact.
I haven't used this on any varmints. or intruders, only on some cans of green beans, and pop bottles filled with water. In both cases, they really do explode. I really love this ammo!
Great quality, great price!
I purchased the Fiocchi V-Max for light wind condition days. Great, flat trajectory and accuracy. The way the rounds are packaged is neat and the brass is brilliant. Burns clean. I have become a BIG Fiocchi fan as of late! I have shot nearly every caliber Fiocchi makes and have yet to be disappointed.
