This 223 Rem cartridge from Speer’s Lawman line of ammunition features a 55 grain Reduced Hazardous Training (RHT) projectile. It’s a frangible bullet by SinterFire, made of compressed copper powder that is designed to not ricochet back at you if it strikes a hard surface. If you love training with steel targets, or are afraid that your range’s backstop might deflect some flak back at you, a frangible bullet is a great investment in your safety.

This bullet weighs 55 grains, so it closely approximates the recoil and feel of a regular load, and because it’s lead-free it’s better for the environment. This is also a suitable bullet to implement if you ever have to fire indoors during a self-defense scenario -- its tendency to disintegrate when it hits a wall instead of penetrating it makes it safer to use than FMJ's where bystander safety is an issue. There’s a reason why the pros would use this kind of bullet if they ever had to engage terrorists in a nuclear power plant!

This round is Boxer primed and brass cased, so you can craft your own conventional or frangible loads afterward with the aid of your reloading bench.
