A: Thanks for reaching out Bill! The hollow point boat tail (HPBT) is a type of bullet designed for superior accuracy. The BTHP's hollow point does not trigger terminal expansion after penetrating soft tissue. It is there because an HPBT's jacket is formed first and then filled up with molten lead. That creates a balanced, bubble-free core which promotes excellent in-flight rotational stability. When a bullet has a boat tail, that just means its base is tapered. A boat tail reduces drag to promote higher downrange velocity retention, a flatter trajectory, and higher resistance to wind drift. Choose a BTHP when you want greater accuracy than an FMJ – just don't use it for hunting medium game!

A: I am sorry sir. State regulations proved too great for us to continue serving our customers and friends in California. We are unable to ship to to FFL dealers or Licensed Ammunition Vendors in California.
